Local-first. Your data stays on your Mac.
RemoteD handles credentials, customer inventory, topology, and field evidence. Here is exactly where each piece lives — and what is still being hardened before paid launch.
Local-first
RemoteD runs on your Mac. Customer inventory, credentials, and session history stay on your machine. No cloud account required.
Credentials stay on the desktop
Switch credentials live in macOS Keychain / safeStorage. They never leave your Mac for the phone, the cloud, or this site.
Field phone is a scoped companion
RemoteD Field pairs with one desktop and gets scoped results: Find Port by MAC/IP, diagnostics, notes, photos. No credentials.
This website is sample data only
The interactive demo runs on fixtures. There is no path from this site to a real install, customer network, or pairing token.
Where things live
The trust boundary, plainly.
Your Mac
macOS Keychain / safeStorage for credentials. Local data for inventory, sessions, topology, port maps, exports. Source of truth.
Field phone
Pairs with one desktop. Scoped results only — inventory views, Find Port by MAC/IP, ping, speed test, notes, photos. No credentials.
Optional gateway
A small Debian or Ubuntu VM on the customer network. Tailscale / Headscale private path back to your Mac. No public management ports.
This website
Static sample data. No connection to your install, your network, or anything you care about.
What is shipped. What is landing.
RemoteD is in advanced alpha. Each gate has to land before the next stage opens. If a specific item matters to your buy decision, ask before signing up.
